Thanks to Jamie Deasy in Southside People and to Criona Ni Dhalaigh who told them our story initially. We are very grateful.

    Hi Angela,
Good to have the support of people like the Southside. Everyone has been so kind, and we have had a couple of new celebrity donations, ie from Clive Carrol and from Daniel O’Donnell, no less! God bless them both. I did think Robert was the night duty officer at Fanagans tho, not the night porter. (Porter?) Ritamary

Congratulations on the new donations, Ritamary. You’re playing a blinder. Yes, you’re right, Robert is the Night Duty Officer – I think the Irish Times article used the term ‘porter’ and Southside just picked up on that. Robert’s duties are more adminisitrative than anything else: he – and now I – man the phones from 8pm until 8am six nights a week. I don’t know where that term came from. It’s like using the term ‘undertaker’ for ‘funeral director’ – funeral directors don’t like that… Love to you, Angela
