Intuition: Reason in a Hurry
Robert has been in SVUH since January 25, initially in A&E but has now been moved to a ward. It seems his New Year pneumonia made a return visit. However, he’s doing well and responding to his medication. His mood seems good too – intuition tells me he’s feeling better.
Every day I’m reminded of what a strong person he is and how stubborn he can be. Wanting to be actively helpful all the time can sometimes become impossible; I can’t do any passive physiotherapy with Robert while he’s ill and when he goes into a different hospital or ward within a hospital, it can be a major interruption in the continuity of his therapies or care.
So feeling that he’s doing better in spite of the hustle and bustle of A&E, and this interruption in his treatment, is a positive sign. And knowing Robert, he will do whatever he’s going to do.
